DANIEL KERNER (physiotherapist)

Daniel Kerner is an APA physiotherapist with extensive experience in private practice, catering to elite and recreational athletes. He is the practice principal of DK Physio with a vast amount of knowledge, experience and expertise in treating all areas of the body.
Having graduated from the University of Sydney, Daniel has worked for over 7 years as a physiotherapist. During this time he has performed several roles, including at the Prince of Wales Hospital, in private practice and on two overseas Maccabiah tours. Since 2014, in addition to working in private practice, Daniel has worked at the Wests Tigers NRL club, where he has treated, assisted in the rehabilitation of and prescribed exercise programs for elite NRL players as well as performed on-field duties on weekends.
Daniel’s diverse experience has helped him gain a detailed understanding of different types of patients and injuries.
Daniel’s approach to physiotherapy is focused on accurate diagnosis, early identification of any biomechanical faults and hands-on treatment. This treatment is coupled with guided specific rehabilitation to educate, retrain, activate and strengthen particular areas of the body to prevent future injury recurrence.

SAM MCCARTHY (osteopath)
Sam has over 15 years clinical experience and has established successful clinics in Canberra, Kyoto and Sydney. He has worked with a wide range of health professionals and medical specialists. He has published internationally on manual therapy treatment of centrally mediated chronic neck pain and co-authored a paper presented at the 2nd International Conference on Fascia in Amsterdam.
Sam has a strong interest in the field of Pain Medicine and the insights it is providing into acute and chronic pain experiences in patients. He regularly attends conferences in this field, covering both mind and body approaches to the treatment of pain. Sam’s treatment approach begins with diagnosis and education. A treatment plan is then established with an approximate timeline for positive outcomes to be achieved. Sam always encourages patients to take ownership of their recovery in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
