The course is perfect for anyone wanting to become a specialist in the feild of fitness.

Throughout it you’ll learn:

  • How the brain learns new movements

  • How our bodies work in multiple planes and with multiple joint actions

  • How efficient movement requires a combination of muscle strength, stabilization and co-ordination

  • How to identify faulty movement patterns and understand how they can, over time, cause injury and poor movement performance

  • Balance training and its importance in movement

  • Which pilates-based and multi-plane exercises help correct movement imbalances and effective ways to teach them

  • New techniques and information on learning styles.

By the end, you’ll be proficient in functional movement training. The principles learnt in the course can be applied to any of your multi-plane exercise programs.

RPX Fitness Method

This workshop is designed to introduce Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainers or other Movement Specialists to the Real Performance Exercise Method (RPX) as a tool for teaching all forms of exercises. The RPX method is a holistic approach that integrates the understanding of Neuroplasticity and the principles of Positive Psychology to create a Client Centered Approach to motor control learning.

The focus is on creating an environment of learning that is slightly stressful bu t safe, this is to encourage the client to engage their problem solving skills to aide them in identifying their own restrictions of movement and why it is occurring. We explore how the brain  can change through the use of Positive and Negative Re-enforcers to establish new patterns and how we can prepare the brain to better adapt to unforeseen forces placed upon it during performance.

The concept of creating stability throughout the body by improving mobility will be explored. The roll of emotions, poor posture, fascia, motor control, stress and perception of pain will be examined in regards to how they can restrict movement. Participants will learn to identify faulty or inefficient movement patterns and understand how Slow Movement Eccentric training, as well as, the use of Balance Training can effectively enhance motor learning and improve performance.

The use of tools such as the Four Pillars, Sequential Training, Regression/Progression, as well as, identifying individual tolerance and effective loading will be presented to assist Movement Specialist in teaching complex multi-plane movements.

When teaching movement training, the emphasis will be on creating Stability, Endurance and Motor Control as well as, how to efficiently used the correct sequence of muscle activation to safely achieve the task and minimize the risk of injury. Participants will experience training with multiple tools such as, Pilates Reformer, Chair, Trapeze, Rip: 60, BOSU, Incline Trainer, Cable Based Machines, Vibration, Oov, Surfset and Fitwall, and REVIVER in order to understand how the method offers the opportunity to integrate the wide variety of equipment available for functional movement training. The ultimate goal is not to get people ‘Fit”. The goal is for clients, to the best of their potential, master movement skills that enable them to move more efficiently and thereby increase their performance and participation in their everyday activities.

Private accelerated learning is available for out of state students or those desiring individual training.

Rip60

Participants will be able to explain and understand that training rip:60TM allows the user to get a full body workout simply by using, but not limited to, one piece of equipment. Every individual regardless of their age or fitness level can participate in rip:60TM training. The intensity can quickly be increased or lessened by simply moving your feet and changing your body angle. The fitness professional will learn that rip:60TM training demands integrated muscular strength to perform every movement, thus preparing the user to move more efficiently in the world.

Rip:60TM unique programming yields greater strength and flexibility. Endurance and stability increase drastically. The fitness professional will learn how to constantly challenge the user and help them to see incredible gains in health and fitness. the Fitness professional will know and understand the importance of suspended rotation. With suspended rotation, your body is forced to stabilize and balance throughout your workout. The user will engage more muscles and constantly target their core with every move. The instability created by the suspended rotation engages the nervous system and teaches the muscles in your body to synchronize, leading to more strength, power and results. Rotation is the key to power.

The Fitness professional will be able to successfully build rip:60TM programs for their clients with the knowledge they will gain about sequencing, training variables, progressions, optimization zone, and the rip:60TM exercise library.
